light at the end of the tunnel

Posted on

Oh me, oh my. I am home from MD and recovering slowly but surely.  The Zooma race in Annapolis was a great time had by all. My girlfriends, Jodi, Tiff, Nicole, Timeri and I traveled down to Maryland on Friday morning. We walked around the town enjoying a few refreshing beverages and many delectable snacks.

On Saturday, we lounged by the bay and relaxed listening to the water swaying back and forth and hydrated ourselves on “mucho” amounts of water.

Finally, Sunday hit…The girls and I jolted out of bed at 4:59 am and immediately started jammin’ to Beyonce tunes and shakin’ our booties. Well, not really, but we can pretend.  After completing my race routines- eating a bagel with natural p.b. and a honkin’ banana, as well as 1 cup of coffee (black, eek!)- it was time to head to the Navy Stadium.

Some before shots 🙂 We are doing, “Breath, stretch, shake, let it go..”

These pics are race previews of tomorrow’s post on how the run went. Stay tuned to hear all about it! Check you in the AM.

P.S. – No worries, there was LIGHT at the end of the tunnel after this race. It was hard to see at first, but suddenly it came shining down from above.  Remember to count your blessings. I sure did after this race.
