peanut butter chocolate bars

Posted on

I love the combo of peanut butter and chocolate. It’s the most amazing two flavors in  your mouth at once. I could eat a Reese’s Peanut Butter cup every morning, noon and night. Since I don’t have to go into work until 12, I made these this morning:

Peanut Butter Chocolate Blondie Bars:

Adapted from Cooking Light

1 1/4 cup flour (I used half whole wheat, half AP flour)

1 c sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/3 cup peanut butter

2 eggs lightly beaten

2 Tablespoons milk (I used vanilla almond milk)

1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

.75 ounces Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups (I used more like 1 full ounce)

  1. Mix first four ingredients together in bowl (flour, sugar, salt, b.powder)
  2. In separate bowl mix next three ingredients together (p.b., egg, milk)
  3. Pour peanut butter mixture into flour mixture
  4. Gently fold ingredients together
  5. FInally add chocolate chips and peanut butter pieces to mixture.
  6. Again fold gently
  7. Spray 9 x 7 inch baking pan
  8. Bake 350 F for 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean from center of cake
  9. Allow time to cool before cutting
  10. ENJOY!
