10K today

Posted on

I ran the 10k Reading Hospital Road Run and had no idea what to expect. Training for these 6 miles hasn’t been a top priority on my list. Luckily as soon as I got to the race I saw many familiar faces. The race only had 800 or so participants. We also live in a town where it seems that everyone knows everyone.

As far as the run goes, I felt good, kept positive thoughts and finished in 49:15. I was ecstatic! Here’s a before picture…

What I think helped me to maintain this pace was all the high intensity cardio moves I have been doing in the past few weeks. I think these moves help to raise your endurance and although I am not particularly running, I am still getting a good workout.

Here are some great moves to include in your workouts.
