Homemade Crispy French Fries

Do you love fries and steer away from them when going to a restaurant ordering a sandwich and asking for a side salad instead of crispy, greasy fries? It’s hard, I know, but think about this recipe and make it at home when you get the chance. You will save yourself many calories and your health!


  • 2 medium sized potatoes (could use sweet potatoes)
  • few Tbsp olive oil
  • 4 slices of multi-grain bread, made into bread crumbs in food processor
  • 2 eggs, whisked
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • sprinkle salt & pepper


  1. Slice potatoes to resemble french fries.
  2. Coat with olive oil and bake at 350F for 15 minutes.
  3. Take fries out of oven, coat in beaten egg.
  4. In separate bowl, mix bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, garlic and salt & pepper.
  5. Dip egg covered fries in bread crumb mixture.
  6. Return to baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes at 400F or until crispy! ENJOY!!
