Cinnamon & Brown Sugar Plantain Chips

Have you ever tried plantains? It was my first time making and trying them! I cut the plantains very thin, dipped them in a cinnamon and sugar mixture and baked them in the oven for 40 minutes. They turned out to be nice, crunchy chips. All you need is 3 simple ingredients… 


  • 1 green plantain, peeled and sliced thin
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/8 cup cinnamon


  1. Mix together brown sugar and cinnamon.
  2. Coat plantains in mixture, evenly on both sides.
  3. Bake in oven on greased cookie sheet at 300F for 40 minutes.
  4. ENJOY!

*Mix with nuts and dried fruit to make a healthy trail mix!
