chocolate baked donuts

Posted on

Remember when I made those “healthier” lemon donuts a few months back? If not, see below…

Well I took the exact same recipe from the lemon donuts but replaced the lemon for chocolate!

These were easy to make because all I had to do was look back on the blog.

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup almond meal
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup plus 2 Tbsp almond milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

  • 1/8 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp coffee creamer (or half and half)

  1. Mix dry ingredients in one bowl – flour through salt.
  2. In second bowl, mix wet ingredients together – oil through vanilla (including brown sugar).
  3. Combine wet ingredients with dry, folding together.
  4. Grease donut pan and preheat oven to 350F.
  5. Bake 12 to 14 minutes.
  6. Whisk cocoa powder and creamer together a Tbsp at a time until right consistency forms.
  7. Let donuts cool, then drizzle chocolate glaze over donuts.
  8. ENJOY!

  1. My teenage boys would love this recipe and I would be happier to make it vs the fried version.
