Sorry I am a day late or a dollar short with my Like it, love it post for the month of October, but better late than never! Here is the recap of Like it, love it, want more of it from August and September. As I have said in the past, I find it so important to find things in your life that fill you up. The things I loved at a younger age have definitely changed as I grow older and I’m sure they will continue to change as I grow even older! That’s kinda the beauty of becoming you! I have this theory that not only the big things in life fill you up, but let’s not forget about the little things, too.
If you truly find something, whether it be big or small, you love in life, cherish it. It’s hard to find what it is you really love and if you already know, well then consider yourself lucky and let it make you glow…
Cheers to the good things in October.
Cheers to the things that make me glow.
Cheers to the new things in life that will fill me up.
Favorites of the Month
Favorite Bath/Body Item: EOS lip balm
There is just something about this lip balm that is ammmmmazing. I don’t know if it’s because the ball of gloss is so big and you can cover your lips in 1 second flat, or if it’s the great bright ball of color you can easily spot in your oversized purse? Whatever it is, I love this lip balm and picked it up at Target for $2.99!
Favorite Amazon Purchase: White Jacket Required by Jenna Weber
I just purchased and received this book a few days ago and I am already nose deep. I love Jenna’s blog: Eat, Live, Run and she was the first blog I ever discovered and started faithfully reading as I started on my own journey blogging. The book delves into Jenna’s life after college, through culinary school and where life took her next. If you enjoy reading blogs and if you read Jenna’s blog, please pick up her book this weekend!
Favorite idea: Pinterest
I have attempted to make my own pillows before and I always get these ideas in my mind that its going to be easy because, I mean really, it can’t be that hard, right? I always underestimate what it takes to do a crafty project. It’s probably my crazy energy level that gets in the way of my patience, but I usually just want it to be done immediately – I just want to see if my FINAL project looks the way it did in the picture. I end up rushing through DIY projects and they sometimes don’t come out so great. Maybe next time I create pillow covers, I should try Martha’s way!
Favorite Inspirational Quote: from Pinterest
I seem to say this a lot to myself, but guess what…? It’s true. When you wake up in the morning, tell yourself that today is a new day and you will be the best you can be and you will make yourself proud!
Favorite Fall Purchase: Steve Madden Boots
I had a similar pair of these boots for probably 3 or 4 years and let me tell you, it looked like I wore them to every fraternity party in those 3 to 4 years. They were looking ugly and I knew it was time to step it up a notch and get a new pair. Luckily, my friend, Jodi had a coupon for these and they were on sale. Who doesn’t love a good deal? Now I can pair these with the perfect dark jeans and whip a scarf around my neck!
Favorite Recipe made this Month: Pumpkin Pie Smoothie
This smoothie hits the spot when you are having a serious craving for pumpkin pie and you just don’t have the ingredients, time or energy to make it. Just throw the ingredients into a blender and you are good to go.
Favorite find online that just might or might not be in my budget: Madewell Silk Top
This silk flutter-sleeve top is just precious. It would look adorable with a number of different outfits and it is under 100 bucks! Only thing is, I swear every other weekend I see a similar top at TJ’s or Marshall’s with a price tag that just does shame on the number 100. Oh, the things to think about in life…Maybe not purchasing in this life.
What was your October filled up with?
Anything great you love or want to share?!
